VideoFlow Management System

The Vusion VideoFlow Management System is the core of the Vusion HD Streaming Cloud. It is an easy to use self-service web-based application that enables Emerging Content Providers (ECP’s) to securely upload, transcode, manage and get real-time reporting and loyalty metrics on their most valuable assets. Videos can be quickly uploaded by either HTTP or FTP - based on file size and number of videos. Once a video is uploaded, VideoFlow uses predefined profiles to automatically optimize transcoding into multiple bit-rates for Smoothrate streaming. Once the transcoding process is complete, administrators can preview video, change metadata, create static or dynamic playlists, manage categories and set up advertising or subscription services. Videos can now be linked. By embedding a small snippet of code into an existing web page, the video can be experienced in HD using Vusion FullVu Player templates. Advanced players can be created using JavaScript or Flash to customize the look-and-feel, functionality, player controls and integrate associated playlists.

Videos can be syndicated to social networking sites or tagged for controlled syndication. Controlled syndication enables creators of high-value content to lock of their videos to specified set of web domains. Only pre-authorized domains will be able to play videos set up for controlled syndication.

The VideoFlow Management System enables users to create additional accounts, assign roles and permissions to these accounts, and create groups. Supported roles include administrator, operator, viewer and showcase. VideoFlow automatically generates a private showcase view that enables video owners to shelter content with a username and password.

VideoFlow provides web service APIs for all its core functions. VideoFlow APIs can be used to integrate existing content management systems or to set up script-based access (without going through VideoFlow browser interface) to the VideoFlow Management System.
