Vusion Cloud Encode
Vusion’s Cloud Encode, designed to optimize video for Internet viewing, is the entry point into the HD Streaming Cloud and the VideoFlow Management System. Vusion’s advanced video format uses state-of-the-art codec’s to support a wide variety of computers and Internet connection speeds. Original video content is transcoded, formatted and stored in our secure network for streaming based on your business rules. Vusion video can stream over Internet connections ranging from optical speed down to lower broadband speeds. Vusion’s Smoothrate HD streaming supports dynamic bit-rate adaptation based on changing network and computer conditions. The Cloud Encode also supports multiple audio tracks for multiple languages and real-time language switching, subtitles, closed captioning and optional thumbnail generation. Videos can be uploaded individually (HTTP/FTP) with custom meta-data or automatically using script/FTP ingestion with bulk meta-data files.

Vusion's Cloud Encode consists of a scalable farm of multi-core servers that provide automated prioritization, load balancing, status monitoring and notification. Each multi-core server is configured for auto-deployment and management, enabling numerous transcoding jobs to run concurrently. The Cloud Encode architecture enables Vusion to scale encoding capacity on an on-demand basis and continually optimize the throughput of the entire cloud.
To simplify the encoding process, most VideoFlow users will use pre-defined transcoding profiles. Advanced VideoFlow users may opt to create custom profiles based on preference, content type, or intended usage (for example: job priority, number and type of streams, adjustments for frames per second etc.). These video profiles can be enhanced using an XML-based job specification. Upon completion, the videos are distributed to the Vusion HD Streaming Cloud and the VideoFlow user is notified that the videos are ready to publish.
